girls who were bullied most of their life and gain confidence at one point should be feared most because they dont take anyone’s shit no longer and they will destroy you if you think otherwise
I’m sorry, but if lesbians can control themselves in a girls only changing room with ass naked woman waltzing around. Then I figure men should be able to control them selves with clothed girls walking down the street. Just a thought.
I felt so angry at the UCSB massacre (an article about this incident and a script of his video’s speech) and the sexism we’re blind to everyday so I drew about my opinions on sexism to channel my rage.
I’m very happy the #YesAllWomen tag is going strong on U.S. Twitter right now. :D
The message at the end is super important! #YesAllWomen says treat everyone with respect. It says women deserve equal respect as men.
It does not say that ALL MEN commit acts of violence or engage in predatory behavior.Instead It is bringing to light the fact that there are so many men engaging in this behavior on a regular basis that #YesAllWomen have experienced some form of it before. It is a platform for us to share these and make them see the light of day.
It does not mean that men are less deserving of respect, that their stories should not also be heard. It just means women are tired of being hurt„ beaten, harassed and intimidated by some men, and we are going to start talking about it.
Men, If you feel defensive when we talk about these things, rather than horrified and ready to help, then you are not getting the point.
It is bigger than the event that sparked it. And thats ok.
And it is NOT something mean and nasty we are doing when we pick one group and talk about it.
Men go through their own struggles, and should also talk about them, and create safe spaces for male specific issues.
But here, right in this moment we are talking about women and our experiences. And if that scares you you need to stop and think about why.
